Stage 1 Civil Construction to recommence

A pre-commencement meeting was held on Wednesday 22nd July with Manningham Council, Bayport Group and Verve Projects. Council’s approval for works to commence in line with approved road and drainage civil documentation has now been confirmed.

Bayport Group will be starting work again this week, with initial activities to include completion of sewerage reticulation, earthworks and drainage works.

We expect Stage 1 civil works to be completed by January 2016 with land settlements occurring thereafter. Regular progress updates will be provided to purchasers by our delivery team.

Now that we are set to return to site, we would like to introduce the Bayport Group, civil contractor for Mullum Creek. The Bayport Group has been appointed to deliver the roads and infrastructure for the project, an important role in providing the foundations for our Mullum Creek community.

The Bayport Group has been in operation since 1969 and is the modern descendent of a small concreting company started in the 1950’s by Giuseppe Torossi. It now spans over three family generations and Richard Torossi, managing director of Bayport Group believes that the foundation of the company’s success lies “in its high quality workmanship and its service to clients”.

The company has been involved in numerous residential projects, providing the full range of civil works required to convert a greenfield site to a site that’s ready for development. Some of their recent projects include: Botanic Ridge – Cranbourne South, Ambrosia Estate – Cranbourne South and the Somerfield Estate – Keysborough.

Bayport’s managing director, Richard Torossi, says “Bayport is excited to be part of the Mullum Creek development. The planning and design team have put together a project that is setting a standard for projects of this type and we look forward to working together to achieve the best possible environmental outcomes for the project during the subdivision construction phase”.

Stage One Driveway Crossovers

Some lot owners have requested alterations to the location of their driveway crossover, and in some cases this can be arranged. As road works are about to commence the Design Review Committee (DRC) requires that where designs include relocation of a crossover, or the creation of an additional crossover, owners must contact the DRC by 11 August 2015 with the design rationale for the request. After this date, any changes will be at the lot owner’s expense.

Have you contacted the DRC?

Our Design Review Committee of architectural, landscape and sustainability experts are available to help everyone who purchases a lot at Mullum Creek. We invite you to contact the DRC and take up the free initial consultations available with our design and sustainability consultants. Also on offer is the Design and ESD Incentives Package up to the value of $15,000. For more information, click here.
